About
Dayanand Anglo Vedic Public School
DAV Public School, Sector-7, Rohini, New Delhi, is managed by the Dayanand Anglo Vedic College Trust Management Society, established in 1889 to promote the ideals of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The school brings together Western educational approaches and traditional Indian knowledge, reflecting the meaning and philosophy of the DAV movement.
The school began in 1989 with 600 students and 20 staff members and has grown into a large educational institution with more than 3,500 students and around 150 staff members. It focuses on child-centric education while continuously adapting to technological and educational developments. The school was among the early institutions to offer Information Technology as a senior secondary stream and maintains a strong emphasis on computer literacy.
Alongside academics, students are encouraged to participate in sports, inter-house and inter-school competitions, and a wide range of extracurricular activities. Regular health check-ups and teacher training programmes support student and staff development. The school also promotes social awareness through rallies, street plays, adult education and vocational training for underprivileged communities. Students engage with NGOs and SOS villages, while educational visits and international programmes provide wider exposure. Through this balanced approach, DAV Public School, Rohini, strives for academic excellence, responsible citizenship and holistic development.
